Mentorship Program

Purpose: To offer career guidance and life advice to attendees of the Thursday Men’s Breakfast

Why: To help mentees grow personally, professionally, and spiritually by guiding and sharing experiences, knowledge and connections. The mentors “win” by helping lead Christian (or Christian seeking) men and potentially influencing them in their personal, professional and spiritual growth

Who: Any attendee that wants to participate as a mentor or mentee. All work occupations will be included.

Mentors can also offer mentees guidance on:

  • Mental Health - Anxiety and/or Depression

  • Ministry Opportunities

  • Spiritual Growth

  • Volunteering and Community Involvement

  • Work/Life Balance

Mentors...

  • agree to be part of the mentoring team.

  • agree to have their names offered to potential mentees.

  • agree to respond to inquiries and field questions from mentees, either by

  • phone, email, or in person. Future interaction is determined by the mentor and no ongoing commitment to the mentee is implied or expected. However, it is possible (and hoped for) that the initial interaction will lead to a longer term mentorship, friendship, and mutual growth.

    Mentees...

  • can expect a single individual phone call or face-to-face meeting. Future interaction is determined by the mentor and no ongoing commitment to the mentee is implied or expected. However, it is possible (and hoped for) that the initial interaction will lead to a longer term friendship, mentorship, and mutual growth.

  • are expected to come to conversations prepared with thoughtful questions for the mentor.

The mentor team is a differentiator for the TMB and allows for the deep resources and talents of the mentors to be shared in a helpful, self-giving fashion that has tangible and intangible benefits to both the mentor and the mentee.
